Florence Verhoestraete's practice focuses on patents, trademarks and unfair competition issues.
She represents clients in the food, consumer goods and life sciences sectors, amongst others, and has extensive transactional and litigation experience with respect to intellectual property, contractual and regulatory issues.
Florence heads NautaDutilh's life sciences sector team and is a pillar of our Kreskado platform, which provides start-ups and scale-ups with legal and other information. She regularly advises start-ups and scale-ups on confidentiality and trade secrets issues and closely follows related developments at the European and Belgian levels.
Florence applies her substantial experience and in-depth knowledge of contractual matters to the drafting of licence and sub-licence agreements, IP transfer clauses, non-disclosure agreements, assignments of IP rights, and sponsorship agreements for non-commercial clinical studies.
She recently helped a ULB spin-off negotiate a collaborative research project, including a consortium agreement (involving a university technology transfer office, an R&D centre and two companies) and a financing agreement with the Walloon Region.
Florence looks forward to answering any questions you might have at the Meet the Experts session.
